Overall a great experience and a great place to live. The apartments are high quality and spacious and the community is great. The amenities are also very accessible and high quality.
There were some wrinkles that needed to be worked out when my roommate and I first moved in, but the staff was very accommodating and helped us resolve the issues in a prompt manner. The apartments are very cozy, quiet, and make a great apartment for college students. Village west is very clean, affordable and offers great amenities. Maintenance is always handled quick and efficient, and all the maintenance guys are really cool and respectful. I had to move here last minute due to issues finding a spot last year, but I have renewed my lease and look forward to calling VW home for the next year and a half. Like any apartment complex, you will run into small issues here and there, but the staff are all friendly and do their best to help in any way they can! My roommate and I have met some really cool people in this apartment complex as well. It's a great community vibe.
I love VW! I have lived here for three years and have always had my needs met. The flat fee for utilities is one of my favorite perks. The office staff is always friendly and willing to help sort any issues out. I would HIGHLY recommend living at Village West!
I wouldn't live anywhere else honestly. You CANNOT beat Village West pricing and amenities. Every single person we've ever had over as a guest at our apartment has always said this is such an awesome place! I wish mine looked like this! It's well-layout (my roommate and I share a 2-bedroom) and has very open floor plans. Their new leases cover ALL utilities now, so paying your rent and bills has never been easier. They've been cleaning house and working really hard to come back from a bad reputation, and after cleaning house they have a really great staff now that gets everything done.
The buses are a bit of a hit or miss when it comes to good or bad experiences, but that is more of an issue with city bus employees, so I won't divulge. The fact that every 15 minutes I know there is a private bus at one of the two stops I can use for free to take me to campus is a godsend in itself. Maintenance seems to have recently cleaned the house in some areas, and now they're great! My maintenance guy today knew about issues I wasn't even aware of and immediately fixed them up (little things like blinds needing fixing or a burnt out lightbulb I hadn't even called in yet.)
The office girls are (usually) great. Like anywhere there are better ones than others, but one of the girls has the residents names and apartment numbers memorized, and goes out of her way to greet you and ask how you're doing every time she sees you, it's baffling and wonderful. I've lived here for about four months now, and just recently resigned for an apartment without hesitation.
Currently, they are putting millions into renovations right now, including a new fitness center, new appliances in the apartments as well as newer and easier to maneuver furniture, and even installing car ports for winter.
It sounds like I didn't write this, but I actually did. I just genuinely love where I live. Seriously, if you're looking into village west the best thing to do is schedule a tour or make it a point to visit and talk to the office about plans and what not; the apartments speak for themselves.
Village West is one of the best places I've lived. They have updated and renovated so much of the property, it's like new. The office and maintenance staff are super friendly and helpful. I will admit that I had some problems when I first came here but since then they have helped turn that around completely! Close enough to campus but still beautiful scenery with the celery bog super close, and they provide a shuttle to campus that always works! Super glad to be renewing here.
This place is ideal for luxurious college living. There is a shuttle bus that runs to and from campus. The pool is well-kept and refreshing. The rates are great for the amount of space you get. The managing staff is friendly and always eager to assist with any issues. Even the maintenance workers are nice. I recommend Willowbrook West Apartments to anyone who is looking for a home away from home!
I love Village West! It's certainly my home away from home! The maintenance team is very quick and the office staff is super helpful! Beautiful property too!

You'll have the pleasure of working with the most knowledgeable Property Managers in West Lafayette, and have an (almost) unlimited array of amenities to choose from when calling this place your home.
Village West is a GREAT apartment complex. The new clubhouse and fitness center renovations are beautiful, as well as the new upgraded apartments. The staff is wonderful, friendly, and always willing to help with your needs.
Willowbrook Apartments it's a great place to live. There is almost 6 months I've been living there, and it's been great. The apartments are big, new, with new furniture, there's an entertainment area with a great swimming pool, game room, gym, the internet and TV work great. It's also very well located, just a few minutes from Purdue University and also a few minutes from Walmart. When we have a question or when we need anything, the leasing office people are very pleasant and helpful. There's also a shuttle which takes residents from and to Purdue campus, which makes our transportation easier. Living in Willowbrook is recommendable for anyone who looks for high quality apartments with a good price.

Willowbrook West apartments are very affordable for every college student. They have a well-kept pool as well as friendly staff. The Trolley is brand new, air-conditioned, and offers an alternative to the crowded city bus to get to campus! The apartments are very nice for the price compared to other apartments.
Village West is a great place for Purdue college students to live! It is off campus, affordable, and they have lots of good perks! The apartment is spacious and comfortable to live in
How would I sum up my time at Willowbrook West....hmm I think awesome would be a good word. I moved into WBW to get away from the dorm life after having a bad experience with campus life. WBW was a good change for me, being able to enjoy the community life but having my own room to seclude myself when I felt it necessary. I am in a 3Bed/2Bath, and I must say it has been a great experience for me. I signed with WBW for its many amenities and low monthly rates. It seems that since the new management staff has come aboard, things have been changing for the better quite often. A few of my favorite amenities include, W/D in each unit, spacious bedrooms and closets, basketball courts, sand volleyball, fitness center, computer lab, coffee bar 24/7, game room that includes pool table, ping pong, air hockey, etc., luxurious pool, and of course its lovely shuttle bus to and from Purdue's campus driven by the infamous Johnny C! By the way, he rocks! In addition to the community amenities, there are things in the homes that make it special as well. We have personal W/D, optional living room, kitchen, and bedroom furniture (great for out of state students), huge floor plans (3 bedroom my fav), as well as FREE private parking right outside your building. What more could we ask for? Well I forgot to mention the free tanning, community events such as Taste of Willowbrook! (FREE FOOD!!), game nights (FREE FUN!!), and pool side games (AGAIN FREE!!) Well now that you know of all the free things, let's talk about the business aspect of it all. We have a wonderful leasing staff here at WBW. I use 'We' because it all feels like we're one big family here. Not only are the staff all friendly and knowledgeable about the property and events, but they are not sneaky and secretive. I like that when there's a promotion going on that I am not aware of, I can always count on them to get me up to date either via email or during my random visits to their office. I've enjoyed my time here at WBW, that's why I've signed my lease for another year. I invite all of you to come visit our community and see if it works for you. Tell them Jasmine Crawford sent you. I'd be willing to give a tour of my own place just to show you how honest my review is. WBW is my home away from home, and you never know, it just may become yours as well :)
I love living at Village West!!! Amazing staff, great apartments, free coffee, easily the best deal for the price in the Purdue area. Wish I had moved here sooner!
The tour was very complete and nice and definitely solidified my decision for where to live next year. I was very impressed with the facilities and the modern amenities.
Pretty good. The maintenance is efficient. The associates are friendly. Enjoy staying here. Pretty good. The maintenance is efficient. The associates are friendly. Enjoy staying here.
Village West is a great place to live off Purdue’s campus! All the staff members are so friendly, and they have a great community. I have enjoyed working with Urban Village to provide fun activities for the residents. It is such an inviting place and the apartments are great too!
I have lived here for a few years and I just want to say whoever owns this place I hope keeps this place. This place has gotten so much better than when I first moved in. The rent is a tad bit higher, but you no longer have to pay for power. The internet still isn't the best, but it's better. The staff actually knows what's going on most of the time now. I know some people have said the pool isn't that great, but I like it just fine. It goes up to five feet. The gym is great too. There are also some trails very, very, very close to the complex. The clubhouse (office) looks much better as well. It's actually a place you could actually go to study now. They also have a few rooms that reduce the number of rooms you could reserve.
The only complaint I have is there have been a few weird emails we have gotten from them. Like, we've lived here for 2 years, and we just got an email that said they were so happy we were moving in, gave the date we moved in (2016), and titled it roommate notice. The address was wrong, but the apartment number was right. They've done this kind of thing with rent too. It's a glitch in their system (as far as I know, and according to how it's been explained to me).
Other than the very small issue I just named, this place is great. If something breaks they actively try to fix it as soon as possible. Communication between staff and residents has improved. They have a lot more fun things they do in the office. Like, last week they had treats for the residents in the office (club house).
The best thing of all! They are fine with pitbulls (from what I've seen. there are quite a few people here with them). It's nice to live somewhere where they're not ignorant about dog breeds :)
This is a very good place to live. Lots of bang for your buck, especially if you have a car and are looking for a furnished apartment complex. It’s right in between Purdue and Sagamore Parkway where a lot of restaurants and grocery stores are.
I must say that your experience really does depend on your individual unit. I’ve lived in two units at Village West and the second one was definitely not as nice as the first. Non-3rd floor apartments seem rather dark to me as well, although this may be a factor of window direction.
The amenities here are awesome! I loved taking the shuttle to and from campus during the school year. The new fitness center is really nice, and they have cookies and a nice coffee maker in the office. I would live here again if they had unfurnished apartments. The updated apartments are really nice and for a good price!
We have loved living at Village West! We had trouble moving in, but they were willing to work with us so that we had a better experience! Whenever there has been a maintenance issue, someone has come within the day or 2 to fix the problem! The management office doesn't have the friendliest people working the front desk, but whenever I have had to call about something, the people answering the phones were very kind! Would recommend over and over Village West!!
I previously leased with Granite Management and had an absolutely horrible experience! We were ready for a change, and are so thankful that we leased with Village West!!
